Rima began operations in 1974 and is a leading producer of pure magnesium, magnesium alloys, silicon metal, and silicon-based alloys in Brazil. Mississippi Silicon is the newest silicon metal producer in North America, having started production in 2015. All of Rima’s and Mississippi Silicon’s facilities are ISO certified and operate under the most stringent quality and safety protocols.
